Master teacher and recording artist, Heidi Valencia Vass, B.M., M.M., has been featured in community theatre, summer stock, regional and off-broadway productions. She received her dramatic acting/speech training at Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting in New York City. She has sung with the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, St. Luke’s Orchestra and New Jersey Symphony.
In addition to her opera and recital credits, she has been a featured soloist with The Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, and has made guest appearances with the New Rochelle Opera, Palm Springs Opera Guild, Masterworks Chorale, Vox Consort, Amherst Early Music Festival and on the Concordia Master Series.
She has placed first in the AEIOU, Westminster, Palm Springs Opera Guild, Arts On The Mountain, and National Federation of Music Clubs competitions focusing on both musical theatre and classical singing.
Ms. Vass earned her Bachelor of Music degree at Westminster Choir College and her master of Music degree at the University of Southern California, where she was on faculty, teaching class and studio voice.
In 2007 she released her debut album, Reflections (recorded with the Budapest Symphony). That summer her first single was a top 10 ACQB hit. She currently tours with her ensemble and teaches voice.
Ms. Vas is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Recording Academy, ASCAP, and the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. Heidi is on the voice faculty at California Lutheran University, is the music director at La Reina High School and is the co-founding director of the CLU Summer Vocal institute.
