OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERADiana Woolner is an ex-New Yorker who seeks out high-quality, thoughtful performance and leadership opportunities—as director, composer, conductor, arranger, performer—the list continues to grow. Her achievements vary, from conductor of the Adult and Children’s Choirs at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Queens, New York, to her television debut as the on-set Music Coordinator for Steven Soderbergh’s The Knick, Seasons 1 & 2; accompanying GHOSTLIGHT CHORUS, an elite chamber ensemble from NYC, to the 14th Annual Chamber Choir Competition in Marktoberdorf, Germany, where they won third prize; leading workshops as featured composer during Vassar College’s annual ModFest; and performing all over the tri-state area, including MOMA, Symphony Space, David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, Issue Project Room, and Roulette. Composition remains one of her favorite musical expressions, with works ranging from vocal ensemble works, electro-acoustic soundscapes, film scores, choreographed dance works, podcasts, and more. Her music often has a magical quality, playing with connotation and expectation, and her vocal works are known to utilize unconventional texts. Diana is currently the Alto Soloist at Beverly Hill Presbyterian Church, as well as a member of C3LA, an LA-based choral composer collective run by its members, performing works written exclusively within the last 25 years.  www.dianawoolnermusic.com
