Prior to that he was a member of Seattle-based Choral Arts Northwest, an offshoot of the music program at Pacific Lutheran University, for ten years. As a student at the Royal College of Music in London, he had the privilege of singing for renowned choral director Sir David Willcocks, and enjoyed performing in many of the great concert halls and cathedrals of England. He also studied music theory with organist and composer Adrian Cruft, a former pupil of Ralph Vaughan Williams.
